Environmentally Sustainable City awarded to Danang
Danang has been awarded the title “ASEAN Environmentally Sustainable City” by ASEAN national committee, becoming the only one city in Vietnam honored to be titled this reward.
Danang continues to be recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability, maintaining its status as an "ASEAN Environmentally Sustainable City." This prestigious title was last awarded at the 17th ASEAN Summit in November 2011; since then, Danang along with other cities in Southeast Asia has shown commendable progress in promoting sustainable development. As of 2025, the city remains one of the key examples of eco-friendly urban planning in Vietnam.
