A draft master plan for the resort city of Da Lat in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong until 2030, with a vision towards 2050 was discussed at a seminar in Paris on September 26.
This plan was prepared by People Committee of Lam Dong Province and Ministry of Construction, with the consultation from Interscene Company (France) and the Department of Urban and Rural Planning in the South of Vietnam.
The conference discussed the methodology and research conducted by both Vietnam and France’s firms to analyze the current situation of the town, as well as ideas and solutions to future infrastructure planning. Representative from Vietnam government said, to any extent, the planning should balance between modern convenience and sustainable developments.
Da Lat is one of the most attractive tourism destinations in Tay Nguyen and central area of Vietnam, drawing travelers by its magnificent landscape and historical relics. The town is gaining more and more investment from both government and private sectors in various fields, particularly in tourism industry.
