The provincial people's committee of Lam Dong has approved an updated scheme to enhance the local transportation system, which is expected to be completed by 2030.
In detail, Da Lat City is developing six monorail routes aimed at improving travel for both residents and tourists. This transportation system, which operates on a single rail, is designed to facilitate greater access to popular destinations within Da Lat.
The main station of the new monorail system is strategically located in the heart of Da Lat City, providing connections to various tourist attractions, including Lang Biang Mountain, Tuyen Lam Lake, Love Valley, and Lien Khuong Airport.
In addition to the new monorail routes, Da Lat is also focusing on the revival of its historic railroads. One significant route under redevelopment is the Cham Temple to Da Lat railway, which spans approximately 84 kilometers through impressive mountain scenery. Currently, only a 7-kilometer section of this route is operational for tourist use, but plans are in place to expand services in the future.
