Dalat Flower Festival 2012
Dalat’s 4th Flower Festival will be held during the six days from December 30, 2011 to January 4, 2012.
Dalat's 4th Flower Festival was originally held from December 30, 2011 to January 4, 2012. However, since that time, the festival has grown significantly and now occurs biannually. The latest edition of the festival took place from December 27, 2024 to January 2, 2025. The main events are held at Dalat's main square, featuring the opening ceremony on December 28 and the closing ceremony on January 2.
This year's festival continues the long-standing tradition of celebrating the beauty of flowers, with activities focused on honoring florists and advancements in flower production technology. In addition to the floral festivities, there will be a variety of tourism and sports activities, including hiking on Lang-Bian Mountain. The Lam Dong provincial government hosted the latest Dalat Flower Festival, welcoming both domestic and international participants. The festival is funded by 10 billion VND from state resources, along with an estimated 20 billion VND raised from public contributions.
The festival aims to encourage widespread community participation to promote the cultural and social aspects of the event, showcasing Dalat as the city of flowers and recognizing the work of local florists. Previously, the Dalat Flower Festival was celebrated in January 2020, which highlighted the 1010th anniversary of Hanoi’s establishment and flourishing.
