Da Nang to re-launch an air route to Thailand

Da Nang City authorities are working with Thai Airways to revive an air route to Bangkok which was suspended last year.

Da Nang City authorities are collaborating with Thai Airways to reinstate an air route to Bangkok that was suspended in 2020.

According to the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, efforts are underway to reintroduce this service by the end of 2025 or early 2026.

Tran Chi Cuong, director of the department's Travel Management Division, emphasized that the revival of this air route is critical for enhancing international arrivals in Da Nang. Initial costs will be partly supported by local tour operators and hotels, while Thai Airways aims to bring in foreign visitors in exchange.

Currently, Da Nang features regular flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, operated by AirAsia and SilkAir. Additionally, the city is partnering with Hong Kong-based Hong Thai Travel Services Ltd to further promote tourism.
