Da Nang to feature street music by Han River
Being the first of its kind in Da Nang, Street Music, held by Da Nang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism is taking place on Bach Dang street twice per month (on Saturday of the 2nd and the 4th week), from March to August, 2012.
Launched in 2022, Street Music has become a beloved cultural celebration in Da Nang. Organized by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the event takes place on Bach Dang Street twice a month (on the second and fourth Saturday of each month) from March to August. This initiative has been recognized as a unique tourism product, adding vibrancy to the city’s picturesque riverside.
The inaugural show on March 19, 2022, drew a large crowd of both locals and tourists, showcasing an array of performances that included soothing Vietnamese folk melodies and lively Flamenco tunes, catering to diverse musical tastes.
According to Ho Van Anh, now the director of the Da Nang Events and Festivals Organization Centre, each installment of Street Music is designed around a unique theme, enhancing the program's diversity. The stage is frequently reimagined to align with varying themes. Featuring a mix of professional performers and talented amateurs, Street Music continues to promise an engaging and intimate musical experience.
For anyone planning to attend the next Street Music event on April 12, 2025, a visit to Hue for the Hue Festival 2025 is highly encouraged, offering a perfect complement to the musical festivities in Da Nang.
