Con Dao Island Among World's 25 Most Beautiful Beaches

Ranked 18th among the 25 most beautiful beaches by the renowned Travel and Leisure magazine, Dam Trau Beach continues to reinforce Con Dao's significant standing on the global beach tourism map as of 2025.

Travel and Leisure experts emphasize that selecting the best beach among Vietnam's many wondrous coastal locations is a challenge. However, Dam Trau Beach in Con Dao stands out with its soft, golden sand, shaded by lush bamboo groves and evergreen trees, making it an appealing contender.

In addition to Vietnam's remarkable representative, the stunning beaches featured in Travel and Leisure's list include Saud Beach (Philippines), Elafonissi Beach (Greece), Nungwi Beach (Tanzania), Hanalei Bay (Hawaii, USA), and Copacabana Beach (Brazil).

This is not Con Dao's first appearance in global tourism rankings by prestigious publications. Previously, Con Dao was one of two Southeast Asian locations highlighted in the New York Times' "Top 52 Places to Visit in 2021." Moreover, in 2019, Travel and Leisure recognized Con Dao as a rare Asian entry in its list of "13 Places Where You Can See the Bluest Water in the World." Additionally, Lonely Planet included Con Dao in its "Best Places in Asia" lists in both 2016 and 2017.
