Christoph Poppen to conduct Vietnam Young Philharmonic Orchestra

A concert performed by the Young Philharmonic Orchestra of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, conducted by Christoph Poppen, is set to take place at the Hanoi Opera House at 8 PM on September 21, 2025. The audience can look forward to experiencing classical masterpieces by the legendary Wolfgang A. Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Felix Mendelssohn.
The event will commence with the overture of “Die Zauberflöte” by Mozart. Following this, the orchestra will feature selections from Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
The Young Philharmonic Orchestra of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductors such as Nguyen Thieu Hoa, Claire Levacher from France, Peter Gülke from Germany, and Christian Schumann from Germany, has showcased a diverse range of performances, from classical to contemporary music, at the Hanoi Opera House throughout the year.
Under the direction of Christoph Poppen, a distinguished professor of violin and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, the Orchestra promises an evening filled with vibrant musical expressions.
