Buryatia opens direct air route to Vietnam
Nordwind Airlines of Russia’s Republic of Buryatia has launched a new air route between the country’s capital city of Ulan-Ude and Vietnam’s coastal central town of Cam Ranh.
Nordwind Airlines, based in the Republic of Buryatia in Russia, has recently launched a new air route connecting Ulan-Ude, the capital city, to Cam Ranh, a coastal town in Vietnam. The inaugural flight took place on 15 June 2025, utilizing a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
Established in September 2008, Nordwind Airlines operates as a charter airline and has its headquarters in Moscow, Russia. Following significant expansions and upgrades to its hub at Ulan-Ude Airport, the airline has initiated numerous direct flights catering to travelers visiting popular destinations in China and Mongolia.
In the coming months, the airline plans to open two new direct routes: one to Antalya, Turkey, and another to Bangkok, Thailand. Additionally, expanding services to Japan and South Korea are also on the agenda.
