Beethoven concert in Ho Chi Minh City

With the purpose to promote the world masterpieces by the legendary German composer Ludwig van Beethoven to the local audiences, Goethe Institute in Vietnam has organized free concert series called The Beethoven Symphony Project in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

To celebrate the enduring legacy of the legendary German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, the Goethe Institute in Vietnam is once again organizing a series of free concerts titled The Beethoven Symphony Project in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Following a warm reception from audiences in previous years, the concerts are set to return this festive season, showcasing the talents of both renowned international and local artists.

 
This year, The Beethoven Symphony Project will return to Ho Chi Minh City, featuring two concerts performed by exceptional local talents such as violinist Ho Dang Hoi and cellist Nguyen Tan Anh, under the baton of conductor Do Kien Cuong.

The concerts will feature some of Beethoven's masterpieces, including The Creatures of Prometheus, Romance in F Major, and selected movements from Symphony No. 2 in D Major. In addition, audiences will be treated to two contemporary compositions by Do Kien Cuong: Về Làng (Return Home) for violin, cello, and orchestra, and Biến Khúc ‎Lý Ngựa Ô (Ly Ngua O Variations) for full orchestra.
 
The inaugural concert will take place at Saigon Technology University, located at 180 Cao Lo Street, District 8, on December 21, 2025. The second performance is scheduled for the Cultural Center of District 11, situated at 179 ABCD Binh Thoi Street, Ward 9.
 
Admission to the concerts is free for everyone.
