Ba Ria Vung Tau sets safeness and friendliness as directions to develop
According to the Ba Ria Vung - Tau People’s Committee, in the first eight months of 2012, the province has welcomed more than 9.5 million tourists, a year on year increase of 13%.
According to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau People’s Committee, in the first eight months of 2025, the province has welcomed more than 12 million tourists, reflecting a year-on-year increase of approximately 25%.
This significant achievement is the result of the province's ongoing efforts to diversify its tourism offerings, enhancing both safety and friendliness in tourism, while also maintaining traditional attractions.
In its pursuit to rebrand as a modern tourist destination, Ba Ria – Vung Tau has undergone substantial transformations. It has evolved from a primarily relaxation-oriented destination featuring beaches and a limited number of tourist sites to an area that boasts numerous luxury hotels and resorts. Notable establishments include the Imperial Hotel, Palace Hotel, Grand Petro Hotel, Anoasis Resort, Saigon-Binh Chau-Ho Coc Ho Tram Beach Resort & Spa, and Six Senses Con Dao.
The province has also been actively organizing major national festivals such as the Sea Festival, World Cuisine Festival, and various culinary festivals to enhance its image as a vibrant and festive location.
Looking forward, Ba Ria – Vung Tau aims to lead national tourism efforts through investments in maritime tourism. Local investors are strategically developing a comprehensive seaport and logistics system designed to elevate tourism services, making it easier to accommodate and attract international visitors.
