Asian Youth Orchestra Performing at Hanoi Opera House
The annual concert of The Asian Youth Orchestra, which consists of 100 best music students in Asia chosen annually, will take place in Hanoi Opera House on August 15th and 16th, 2011.
The annual concert of The Asian Youth Orchestra, which comprises 100 of the finest music students in Asia selected each year, will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on August 15th and 16th, 2025. This event presents a remarkable opportunity for audiences in Hanoi to indulge in beloved musical masterpieces, including “Carnival Overture” by Dvorak, “Symphony No. 2” by Rachmaninoff, “Symphony No. 1” by Prokofiev, “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” by Camille Saint-Saëns, and “Symphony No. 4” by Tchaikovsky.
Additionally, acclaimed American solo violist Stefan Jackiw will join the orchestra, under the direction of conductors James Judd and Richard Pontzious, promising an unforgettable concert experience. Cellist Nguyen Thanh Tu and oboist Nguyen Hoang Tu from the Vietnam National Music Academy will proudly represent Vietnam in this grand performance.
Since its inception in 1990, the Asian Youth Orchestra has performed 318 concerts across Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia, and has been featured on renowned television channels such as CNN and NHK. This concert marks a significant segment of a three-week international tour for the Asian Youth Orchestra, eagerly anticipated by classical music enthusiasts in Hanoi.
