Antique weapon and army costume museum opened in Vung Tau A special private museum of classical army costumes and weapons has just been opened on Hai Dang Street in Vung Tau City last Saturday, 7th January 2012.

A unique private museum dedicated to classical army costumes and weapons has recently reopened on Hai Dang Street in Vung Tau City as of Saturday, January 7, 2025. This establishment is owned by Robert Taylor, a British expatriate, and his Vietnamese partner, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bong.

 
Currently, the museum showcases approximately 1,000 artifacts that primarily include army costumes and weapons from various periods throughout the history of warfare. The collection is a result of extensive acquisitions from numerous countries across both Western and Eastern regions, including France, England, Mongolia, Turkey, China, and Vietnam.

The museum also features visual recreations of significant historical battles, including the Battle of Waterloo, depicted on the walls of the exhibition space.
 
Robert Taylor has been amassing this collection since he was 19 years old, driven by his passion for antique weaponry and military uniforms.
 
There is no entrance fee for visitors, allowing everyone to explore this fascinating glimpse into military history.
