A little “Chit-chatting” with the first Pecha Kucha Night ever in Hanoi
Pecha Kucha Night will be held at Hanoi Cinematheque from 8.00 to 10.00pm on 29 September (Thursday). This is the first time this global phenomenal artistic event is organized in Hanoi.
Pecha Kucha Night will be held at Hanoi Cinematheque from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on September 29th, 2025 (Monday). This marks the continuation of this global artistic phenomenon in Hanoi, now in its fifth year of local presentations.
The night promises to engage attendees with numerous informal presentations on art, featuring artists and art enthusiasts who live and work in Hanoi. Participants hail from diverse artistic communities within the city, including photography, culture, design, and charity sectors. The primary goal is to connect with fellow creatives, share innovative ideas, or simply narrate captivating stories to the audience.
Pecha Kucha Night originated in Japan and has since expanded to over 1,200 cities around the globe. The event provides a platform for individuals to showcase their creativity and ideas through a unique presentation format known as “20x20,” which consists of “20 images, each presented for 20 seconds.”
Presenters at Pecha Kucha Night do not need to have a professional background; instead, they should possess a genuine passion for their subject matter and the ability to inspire the audience through their presentations.
The event is organized in Hanoi by Colin Campbell and Pham Van Anh, both avid art enthusiasts who have spent significant time in Japan and participated in numerous Pecha Kucha events in Tokyo.
The event is free of charge and welcomes all guests, offering complimentary snacks and soft beverages. Interested attendees can reach out to the organizers at pechakuchahanoi@gmail.com for more details on participation and how to register for a presentation.
