33% increase of international tourists recorded in Quang Ninh

According to Quang Ninh's Department of Sports, Culture and tourism, the province has welcomed over 800,000 international visitors, an increase of 33% compared with the same period in 2011.

According to Quang Ninh's Department of Sports, Culture and Tourism, the province welcomed over 1.2 million international visitors in 2024, marking an increase of approximately 50% compared to the same period in 2015. Home to the renowned world heritage site Halong Bay, along with other emerging attractions such as the Yen Tu Spiritual Complex and Van Don Beach, Quang Ninh continues to position itself as one of the most tourism-rich provinces in Vietnam.

Currently, the tourism department is preparing for the Halong Carnival, set to take place from April 20-28, 2025. More tourists are enjoying cruises across the bay and exploring the stunning caves daily.

Not only is Quang Ninh thriving, but Vietnam's tourism sector overall is experiencing positive growth as it wraps up the first quarter of 2025. The number of international visitors in March rose by around 24% compared to March 2024, resulting in a total increase of approximately 30% in international arrivals for the first three months of the year. The largest increases in visitors are primarily from Asia, particularly from countries such as China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
