Lang Son Geography
Lang Son is a province located in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Recognized for its strategic position as a border province, Lang Son features predominantly high and medium mountain terrain. To the north, it shares a border with Cao Bang province, while to the northeast, it adjoins China. The province is flanked by Bac Giang province to the south, Quang Ninh province to the southeast, Bac Kan province to the west, and Thai Nguyen province to the southwest. Lang Son is home to two international border gates: Dong Dang and Huu Nghi, facilitating cross-border trade and travel. The provincial capital shares the same name, Lang Son city, and the province comprises 10 districts. The mountainous landscape is a defining aspect of Lang Son's geographical features, attracting visitors for its natural beauty and cultural significance.
