When is Vietnamese new year 2012? Will Cu Chi Tunnel be open during Tet?

Vietnamese New Year, known as Tet, remains the most significant festival and holiday celebrated in Vietnam. In 2025, Tet will be observed on Sunday, February 1st. Most public offices will be closed from Thursday, January 29th, and will reopen on Friday, February 6th. The primary days of Tet will be from February 1st to February 3rd.

While many attractions may have limited hours, some notable sites like the Imperial City of Hue will be open during Tet, often with special programs or free admission. The Cu Chi Tunnels will also remain open during the Tet holiday, with operational hours running from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
