President of News7Wonders Praises Halong Bay

President of News7Wonders, Mr. Bernard Weber, has just finished his trip to Ha Long on 27 September to award the certificate recognizing this destination as one of 28 nominees on the final round of New7Wonders of Nature campaign.

President of News7Wonders, Mr. Bernard Weber, has just finished his trip to Halong on 27 September to award the certificate recognizing this destination as one of 28 nominees on the final round of New7Wonders of Nature campaign. As part of the trip, he paid a short tour visiting Halong Bay to witness with his own eyes the breathtaking beauty of this natural masterpiece.

Weber cannot hide his extreme impression on the magnificence of this natural wonder, “Halong Bay possesses a wonderful landscape that nowhere else in the world has”, said Weber to the press. He encouraged Vietnamese people to vote more for Halong Bay via new SMS system and online voting to achieve more positive result on the final round.

Beating out more than 440 destinations from 200 countries around the world, Halong Bay has been shortlisted along with other 27 landscapes on the final round of New7Wonders of Nature campaign. Vietnamese government considers that result a crucial achievement to continue its massive campaign to appeal for more votes for Halong Bay during one month left before the voting period reaches its end.

The New7Wonders of Nature campaign was officially commenced in 2007 by New7Wonders organization after its previous success of the man-made wonders election. The voting campaign aims to appreciate magnificent natural wonders around the world, to enhance people’s knowledge on marvelous destinations and to raise their awareness of protecting these heritages.

The voting forNew7Wonders of Naturewill be closed on 11 November this year.
