A New Way to travel between HCMC and Mui Ne
Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) – a helicopter service provider - along with Sea Links City – Amitour has launched a trial flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne on the morning of June 11th and back to Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of the following day, June 12th.
Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) – a helicopter service provider – in collaboration with Sea Links City – Amitour, successfully launched a trial flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne on the morning of June 11, 2025, and returned to Ho Chi Minh City on the following day, June 12. Mui Ne, located in Binh Thuan province, is renowned for its beautiful beaches and unique sand dunes. Over the past several years, Mui Ne has gained popularity as a desirable beach vacation destination and a hub for various water sports activities.
The departure and arrival point in Ho Chi Minh City is Tan Son Nhat International Airport, while in Mui Ne, the landing area is a heliport at Sea Links City Resort, located 9 kilometers from the center of Phan Thiet. The flight utilizes the AS350-B2 helicopter from Eurocopter (France), which accommodates up to six passengers with a total weight capacity of 1,100 kg.
This new helicopter service offers travelers an innovative alternative to traveling by car or train from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet and vice versa. The flight duration between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne is only 40 minutes, significantly shorter than the usual four to five hours required for conventional bus rides.
