According to the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, the Japan-Vietnam Day is scheduled to take place this Sunday (July 13, 2025) at 8:30 am at the Youth Culture House (4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). This event is co-hosted by the center and the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

The main purpose of the event is to provide locals with opportunities to learn about Japanese culture by participating in various activities and games, including yo-yo playing, kite flying, making traditional tore paper paintings, and enjoying artistic performances.

Moreover, a photographic exhibition and documentary film screenings will showcase the daily lives and culture of Japanese people in both historical and contemporary contexts.

Japanese culture has a long-standing presence in Vietnam, dating back to the era when the first trading ships docked in Hoi An and Van Don. However, its influence has become increasingly pronounced in recent years, particularly among the youth, as Vietnamese people now have greater access to Japanese culture, including performing arts, manga, cinema, and music.
