Hoi An Discovery Marathon 2025 to be held in May
Hoi An Discovery Marathon 2025 is set to take place in Quang Nam province on 1 May 2025. The exposition for race kit pick-up and briefing will be held at Hoai River Square the day prior, on 30 April.
This special event draws numerous participants due to its unique course that showcases the architectural beauty of the historic town as well as the serene landscapes of the traditional villages lining the Thu Bon River.

The months of April and May are the ideal time to visit Hoi An, featuring dry, cool, and sunny weather that is particularly pleasant for outdoor activities.
This year's marathon offers four distances: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, with time limits of 7 hours, 6 hours, 5 hours, and 4 hours and 45 minutes respectively. All events will commence from the Bach Dang point near Hoi An Market and conclude at Nguyen Phuc Chu Street, close to An Hoi Sculpture Garden. The marathon's longest distance will begin at 4 am, while the 5 km race will start at 6:15 am on race day.
The race organizers have announced that everyone aged 15 and over, who meets the appropriate health standards, is welcome to participate. Participants under 15 must obtain approval from their legal guardians.
