Environmentally Sustainable City awarded to Danang
Danang has been awarded the title “ASEAN Environmentally Sustainable City” by ASEAN national committee, becoming the only one city in Vietnam honored to be titled this reward.
Danang has been recognized as one of the "ASEAN Environmentally Sustainable Cities" by the ASEAN National Committee, becoming the only city in Vietnam to receive this prestigious title amongst ten other cities across Southeast Asia. This award reinforces Danang's commitment to sustainable urban development and environmental conservation.
This accolade acknowledges the concerted efforts of Danang authorities in fostering and enhancing a sustainable living environment. It serves as a testament to the success of the city's ongoing initiatives aimed at transforming Danang into a model green city by 2030.
The title of Environmentally Sustainable City is awarded annually by the ASEAN National Committee to recognize cities in Southeast Asia that demonstrate significant achievements in environmental preservation and the establishment of eco-friendly communities. In addition to Danang, this year's awards highlighted nine other cities, along with several additional cities that are emerging as future leaders in environmental sustainability within the ASEAN region.
