Cham Cultural Festival in Ninh Thuan
The 2012 Cham Cultural Festival is projected to take place in Ninh Thuan Province from 14 to 16 October with the main theme “Cham Culture – Preservation, Promotion and Integration”.
The 2012 Cham Cultural Festival is projected to take place in Ninh Thuan Province from 14 to 16 October with the main theme “Cham Culture – Preservation, Promotion and Integration”. The event is co-organized by The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ninh Thuan provincial People's Committee.
Participating in this event are representatives from 9 provinces and cities where Cham culture have been conserved, including Binh Thuan, Phu Yen, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
During 3 days of the festival, guests are given opportunities to learn about Cham culture, via various activities such as folk games, sports and cuisine festival, as well as art performances of professional Cham artists.
Cham Cultural Festival is an annual event held by Central and Southern provinces of Vietnam, particularly the places where Cham culture is still existed. The event aims to introduce the elite of Cham culture to guests, as well as stimulate them to conserve this unique culture.
