Hai Phong Airport (HPH) - Cat Bi International Airport
Hai Phong Airport - officially known as Cat Bi International Airport - is situated in Thuan An District, about 8km from the city center to the southeast.
The airport now features both domestic and international terminals, each with distinct arrival and departure gates located on the first and second floors, respectively. Cat Bi International Airport continues to accommodate large aircraft, including the Airbus A330, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787.
The domestic terminal provides services for flights to major cities throughout Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang, and Can Tho. Current domestic airlines operating regular services to and from Cat Bi International Airport include Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways. Conversely, the international terminal offers numerous routes to destinations such as Macau, Bangkok, Singapore, and Seoul, primarily serviced by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Sichuan Airlines.
Domestic terminal
The domestic terminal is positioned on the eastern side of the airport and features four departure gates numbered 1 to 4. Check-in counters for domestic flights range from 1 to 16.
International terminal
Situated on the western side of the airport, the international terminal includes two departure gates, 5 and 6. The check-in counters for international flights are numbered 17 to 29. Passengers arriving at the terminal can directly access the parking area.

From Haiphong airport to city center
The distance from the airport to the center of Haiphong city is approximately 8 km, with several transportation options available. A taxi ride typically costs around VND 150,000 ($6.50) while a motorcycle taxi is priced at approximately VND 70,000 ($3).
From Haiphong airport to Got Pier
Got Pier, the main departure point for most Lan Ha Bay cruises, is about 23 km from the airport. The route includes a journey across the Lach Huyen Bridge, the longest sea bridge in Vietnam, providing stunning views of the northern countryside alongside the bustling pier. The cost for a one-way taxi ride is approximately $22, with a travel time of around 20 minutes.
From Haiphong airport to Tuan Chau Island
Tuan Chau Island, the primary departure point for many Halong Bay cruises, is situated 45 km away from the airport via the Hanoi - Halong expressway. This route includes traveling across the newly completed Bach Dang Bridge, which has significantly shortened travel times between Hai Phong and Quang Ninh. A one-way taxi ride costs about $50, with an estimated travel time of 50 minutes.
