As of 2025, the average salary per person in Vietnam is approximately 6.9 million VND (about $290) per month, influenced by various factors including industry, location, and skill level.

Similar to trends observed globally, the type of job is a primary factor in determining salary levels in Vietnam. The highest-paying professions as of 2025 include roles in the Information Technology sector, which has an average salary of 15 million VND per month, followed closely by Financial Services at around 12 million VND, and Healthcare professions averaging 10 million VND per month. In contrast, occupations in sectors such as Agriculture or Retail typically offer salaries ranging from 4 million to 6 million VND per month.

There remains a notable disparity in salaries based on job positions within companies. For example, administrative staff can expect to earn between 8 million to 12 million VND, whereas high-level executives, such as CEOs, can command salaries ranging from 200 million to 500 million VND.
