Sam Son Beach

Sam Son is a coastal borough in the east of Thanh Hoa, 16km from the center of Thanh Hoa City.

Sam Son has continued to be a popular tourist destination in Vietnam, gaining fame since the early 1900s when the French initiated construction to serve their needs and the royal courts of the Nguyen dynasty. Beyond the natural beauty, Sam Son offers numerous attractions for travelers to discover.

Sam Son Borough boasts a stunning beach stretching over 16 kilometers in length. The gentle, sandy coastline, combined with clean, azure waters, creates a breathtaking view that continues to captivate visitors. Tourists can enjoy memorable experiences swimming in the cool sea, listening to the rhythmic waves and wind, sunbathing on the warm sands, or building sandcastles. Additionally, this beach is an excellent location to sample a variety of local seafood, including shrimp, crabs, and fish, as well as to purchase unique souvenirs to take home.

FLC Sam Son - A Renowned Local Resort

In addition to its beautiful beaches, Sam Son features the Truong Le Mountain range, a captivating destination with rich natural beauty and historical significance. The mountainous area adjacent to the sea is known as Co Giai Islet. Atop this islet stands a small pagoda named “Doc Cuoc,” which translates to “One Leg.” This pagoda serves as a tribute to a local legend of a giant who defeated a sea monster and became a protector of the waters. There is also a notable rock formation called “Trong Mai,” consisting of two large boulders on a flat surface, symbolizing a devoted couple, said to still share their love despite being transformed into birds.
