Ba Na Mountain Resort
Location and Getting There
If you drive about 50km west from Da Nang city, you'll arrive at one of the most breathtaking destinations in Vietnam. With an elevation of 1,487 meters above sea level and a temperate climate, Ba Na Mountain is truly a treasure of the region.
What To See and Do
Visitors flock to Ba Na for a variety of reasons, but it is the rejuvenating atmosphere and stunning landscapes that most influence their decision to explore this unique area. Three years ago, reaching the summit of Ba Na Mountain involved a challenging 15-kilometer winding road. Today, however, travelers can take advantage of the world's longest cable car system, which has transformed access to the mountain. Adventurers can still traverse the 15-kilometer path, but taking the cable car is highly recommended. It provides a remarkable opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of Da Nang City, Vung Thung Bay, Hai Van Pass, Son Tra Peninsula, My Khe Beach, Marble Mountain, Thu Bon River, and Cu Lao Cham Island—all in one journey. The cable car ride offers a Feng Shui vista like no other.
Natural Gifts
Ba Na boasts a rich and diverse ecosystem, including pristine jungles that are home to over 256 animal species and 543 plant species. Eco-tourism has been flourishing in this area for years. Since the early 20th century, numerous villages, resorts, and hotels have been established in the Ba Na Mountain region. Despite suffering damage during various conflicts, many of these structures have been thoughtfully restored, allowing Ba Na to welcome thousands of visitors from around the globe each year.
