Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam halted all international flights from March 2020 until July 2022. As of 2025, travelers entering Vietnam may be subject to varying entry guidelines depending on the global health situation. Although quarantine protocols have eased significantly, certain groups may still be required to comply with specific entry conditions, depending on vaccination status and recent travel history. In the case of Vietnamese travelers entering Singapore, a 7-day quarantine period is now typical, along with a mandatory Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test upon arrival.
As of 2025, approximately 15,000 Vietnamese residents are living in Singapore. The Vietnam market continues to attract considerable interest from Singaporean investors, indicating a strong bilateral economic partnership. The resumption of flights between Vietnam and Singapore is, therefore, considered a mutually beneficial strategy that deserves focused attention.
