The street is honored to be named after a revolutionary soldier who played a significant role in the establishment of the Vietnamese Communist Party. This serves as a testament to the contributions of historical figures in shaping the nation's identity.

Similar to other streets in District 5, this area offers a selection of hotels for travelers to choose from, including options such as Tan Hoang Tu, Thu Do, Trung Mai, and Truong Thanh. The hotel landscape has evolved over the last decade, with newer establishments providing modern amenities for visitors.

This street is well-known for its Chinese-style sweetened porridge. A must-visit spot for food lovers is Ha Ki restaurant, which features a diverse menu of traditional Chinese sweetened porridges. Locals enjoy these dishes for their perfectly balanced sweetness, making it a popular dining choice.

Chau Van Liem Street also serves as one of the bustling flower market streets in HCM City. As the temperatures dip during the winter months, boats laden with bonsai and a variety of flowers from renowned gardens travel along the rivers and canals to the city's flower markets, heralding the arrival of spring in the south. During the lunar month of December, the street transforms into a vibrant marketplace for the entire Cho Lon area. It would be remiss not to mention the yellow apricot tree, a quintessential bonsai synonymous with the southern Tet Festival, much like the peach blossom is in the north.
