What qualifications do I need to teach English in Vietnam?

Most major English language centers now require trainers to possess a Bachelor's degree along with a teaching certification such as TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL. Candidates holding certifications or demonstrating knowledge of standardized tests like TOEFL iBT, IELTS, SAT, GRE, or GMAT are often preferred.

However, if you do not hold any certifications, your experience may be taken into account if you have over one year of teaching English. Some centers, such as ILA Vietnam, may require trainers without certifications to enroll in a training program offered by the institution.
