Famed Australian Dance Troupe performance starting April 7th

The renowned aboriginal dance troupe, Descendance, from Australia will be performing from Northern Central to Southern part of Vietnam this coming April. Their tour destinations will include Hue, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The renowned Aboriginal dance troupe, Descendance, from Australia is set to perform across Vietnam from Northern Central to Southern regions in April 2025. Their tour destinations will include Hue, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Since its inception in 1993, Descendance, originally known as Ngaru - which means 'shake a leg' - has provided a platform for emerging Indigenous artists not only in dance and music but also in visual arts and various other creative fields to hone their skills. As part of the Descendance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Dance Theatre, they have performed at numerous prestigious events globally, including the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and the International Indigenous Forum in France in 2006.

During their visit to Vietnam, Descendance will primarily perform at the Hue Festival 2025, along with two additional events. The itinerary for the group is as follows:

April 7: Opening ceremony for Hue Festival
April 13: Danang University of Technology
April 16: Ho Chi Minh City Youth House (4 Pham Ngoc Thach, District 1)

The performance in Danang will be open to students, and in Ho Chi Minh City, free tickets can be collected from the Australian Consulate General located on the 20th floor of Vincom Center, 47 Ly Tu Trong, District 1, prior to March 31.
