About The Jahan

The Jahan Cruise offers passengers an immersive journey through the heartland of Vietnam's rural areas to the temple-rich landscapes of Cambodia. The itinerary includes a 7-night Lost Civilization cruise, 3- or 4-night Serenity trips, as well as a splendid 3-night Pearl Orient cruise and a remarkable 2-night Deep in the Delta cruise.

All guests can enjoy luxurious amenities comparable to those found in a 4-star hotel, including a jacuzzi on the pool deck, spa services, and chess at the observatory lounge. Spanning 70 meters, The Jahan is a beautiful vessel featuring 26 artistically designed cabins, each equipped with its own private balcony.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 1: My Tho - Cai Be

Depart from the energetic hub of Ho Chi Minh City as you journey 70 kilometers south to My Tho, where the boutique ship awaits. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink as the ship glides along the Mekong River. Spend a serene evening basking in the sunset on your balcony, followed by an informative briefing in the lounge. Later, savor a delightful welcome dinner as the ship moors midstream near Cai Be, surrounded by the beautiful expanse of the river.

Day 2: Cai Be - Sa Dec - Chau Doc

Each day begins with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck as dawn breaks. For the early risers, coffee and tea are ready to accompany the spectacular morning views. The morning excursion includes a visit to the lively Cai Be floating market aboard a traditional sampan, offering a unique glimpse into local life.

As you navigate the canals, marvel at breathtaking landscapes and the artisanal production of rice paste, rice cookies, and coconut candies. Explore an ancient house nestled among fruit orchards, then return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Sa Dec and tour Binh Thanh Island, where villagers craft water hyacinth mats and rattan baskets. Later, delight in a tranquil evening cruise to Chau Doc. All meals included, with overnight accommodation near Chau Doc.

Day 3: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh

Welcome to the thriving fish sanctuary of Vietnam.

Your day begins with a hearty breakfast either in the dining hall or on your private balcony. Enjoy a morning excursion in Chau Doc, exploring its vibrant market and ancient temples. Then, embark on a boat trip to see floating villages and catfish farms, gaining insight into the breeding of Basa fish in the Mekong Delta. Following lunch onboard, set sail for the Cambodia border and the capital city, Phnom Penh.

Take advantage of the afternoon to relax, participate in hands-on cooking classes, or tour the ship under the guidance of the Cruise Director. As we float along, the peaceful sounds of the engine will lull you into a state of calm anticipation for new adventures. All meals included, with overnight accommodations midstream near Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Phnom Penh

Once known as the Paris of the East, Phnom Penh has retained its charm amid rapid development.

After breakfast, engage in a thought-provoking lecture about Cambodia's modern history, followed by a city tour showcasing its French colonial architecture. Highlights include the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum, home to exquisite Khmer artifacts. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields, a poignant reminder of the Khmer Rouge era. In the evening, enjoy cocktails and an enchanting Apsara dance performance on the sun deck, making for a memorable dining experience under the stars. All meals included, with an overnight stay in Phnom Penh.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham

Departing before sunrise, we will stop at Chong Koh, a silk-weaving village. Next, cruise through quaint riverside communities and witness the traditional ways of life. Visit the rural village of Angkor Ban to experience an era untouched by modernity, where you can interact with friendly locals and participate in daily life. Return to the ship for lunch as we make our way to Kampong Cham. All meals included, with an overnight stay in Kampong Cham.

Day 6: Kampong Cham - Wat Hanchey

Rise early for a trip to the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey, accessible via a motor-taxi or a steep climb of 291 steps. This ancient site from the 8th century offers breathtaking views. After enjoying a blessing ceremony by local monks, take advantage of tide conditions for a refreshing swim in the Mekong River, a memorable experience that will surely invigorate dinner conversations. Later, visit the remarkable Wat Nokor and an orphanage before returning to the ship. All meals included, with an overnight cruise towards Kampong Chhnang.

Day 7: Kampong Chhnang

As dawn breaks, set sail toward Kampong Chhnang, navigating the narrow Tonle River. Marvel at the vibrant local life as children enthusiastically wave from the riverbanks. Experience the unique community where everything is built on stilts, take a motorboat excursion to explore the pottery village of Aundaung Russey, and visit wetlands and floating houses. Later, return to the ship for lunch while cruising the gentle waters. In the evening, join in with a fun dance lesson alongside the staff. All meals included, with an overnight stay in Kampong Chhnang.

Day 8: Tonle Sap - Siem Reap

Cross the expansive Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Asia, rich with birdlife.

The lake is vast and serene, its shores unseen from the middle. Although water levels fluctuate considerably throughout the year, impacting the daily itinerary, enjoy the tranquility as you head toward Siem Reap, the gateway to the iconic Angkor temple complex.

Your memorable journey with The Jahan Cruise comes to an end as we arrive in Siem Reap. After crossing Tonle Lake at dawn, we will disembark at the Siem Reap Port by 9:00 AM, ready for onward transportation into town. Breakfast included.
