Hue Airport - Phu Bai International Airport - (HUI)
Hue Airport or Phu Bai Airport (HUI) is one of the main ports for the central part of Vietnam, alongside with Da Nang and Cam Ranh International Airports.
Phu Bai International Airport remains a key gateway for travelers to Central Vietnam. It is located in Huong Thuy Town, approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Hue city center. The airport's upgraded infrastructure now accommodates up to 2 million passengers annually and can handle larger aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Airbus A321.
The airport consists of two floors. The first floor is designated for arrivals and the check-in process, which includes various refreshment and fast food options. The second floor serves as the departure terminal.
The domestic terminal at Phu Bai International Airport operates flights to cities including Hanoi, Da Lat, and Ho Chi Minh City, with a number of daily services provided by airlines such as Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air.
As of 2025, Phu Bai International Airport has expanded its services to include limited international flights, enhancing its connectivity to the region.

Bus: The Futabus operated by Phuong Trang Bus Service provides a cost-effective option. To access this service, passengers must walk approximately 10 minutes to the bus terminal located in the airport's parking area.
Taxi: Taxis offer the most direct, albeit pricier, transportation option, with fares averaging around 300,000 VND per trip. The journey to the city center generally takes about 30 minutes.
Furthermore, as of 2025, travelers can effortlessly book motorbike or car rides via popular apps like Grab and Fast-Go, making transportation more accessible than ever.

Hue train station serves as one of the main gateways to the ancient capital, with a number of train lines from Danang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
