In Hue, as of 2025, there are 18 buses operating across eight routes, including Thuan An – Phu Vang, An Lo – the Northern Bus Station, the city center, Northern Bus Station – Phu Bai Industry, and Southern Bus Station – Phu Bai. The frequency of these buses ranges from 20 to 40 minutes per trip.

Additionally, two new routes have been implemented: Bao Vinh – Thuy Bieu and Phu Hau – Huong Ho, which are currently in operation. The fare ranges from 5,000 VND to 8,000 VND. Buses typically run from 5 A.M. to 7 P.M. daily, although this can vary depending on the specific route.

Others

Taxis, motorbikes, and cyclos are readily available throughout the city. Notably, bike rentals are very cheap and accessible in Hue, allowing visitors to explore the area, with the exception of areas within the Forbidden City. It’s advisable to lock your bike securely when parked.

Moreover, scooter rentals are also offered, with prices ranging from $10 to $15 per day. A driver’s license is not required, but you will need to present a passport to discover the picturesque sights of Hue at your own pace.
