Getting To Dalat - Air, Road and Train

By Air

Da Lat is conveniently connected to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City via daily flights provided by Vietnam Airlines. Lien Khuong Airport underwent a significant renovation and modernization, reopening in late 2021. This upgrade has increased the airport's size, capacity, and luxury amenities. Located approximately 30 km from the city center, the airport can be accessed by taxi services (around $12 to Da Lat) and shuttle buses (approximately $3 one way to Da Lat).

The flight duration from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City is approximately 45 minutes, while flights to Hanoi take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Ticket prices for economy class typically range from $50 to $120 one way, varying based on the time of booking and demand.

By Bus

Despite its somewhat remote location, Da Lat's popularity as a tourist destination ensures a wealth of bus services operate to and from the city. Public buses provide a more economical choice than minivans, though they may not offer the same level of comfort. Tickets for buses from Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, or Nha Trang can be purchased from most travel agents or directly at bus company offices. During peak travel seasons (June to August), it is advisable to book your ticket at least one day in advance to guarantee your seat.

Nha Trang: 205 km (around 4 hours)

Other Routes

While the Ngoan Muc Pass is known for its breathtaking scenery and photo opportunities, it may not be the safest or most efficient route for travelers biking or driving to Da Lat. Instead, consider taking the inland route to Bao Loc and Di Linh, which is shorter and generally safer.
