Yang Prong Cham Tower
The only Cham Tower in Central Highlands, Yang Prong Tower is situated in Ea Sup District, 100km away from Buon Ma Thuot.
The Tower complex was constructed at the end of the 13th century to honor the God Siva (also known as Mukhalinga), to wish for a peaceful and prosperous life. Located near the Ea Hleo River, Yang Prong Tower is an architectural marvel made of red ceramic bricks, resting on a foundation composed of blue marble stones.Photo: vnanet.vn
The tower stands 9 meters tall with a square-shaped base. While it appears to have four entrances, it actually only has one gate facing East, regarded as the kingdom of the Gods. The other three "doors" on the remaining sides are purely ornamental. In contrast to many other Cham towers in Central Vietnam, the upper section of Yang Prong features a broad cone-shaped roof, providing visitors with stunning views of the magnificent landscapes of the Central Highlands.
Visiting Yang Prong Tower offers a unique and enchanting experience, transporting you to a different world. Today, it is one of the highlights of Vietnam's tourism industry, drawing numerous scholars and visitors from around the globe.
