Thanh Thuy Hot Spring Resort is a 1km2 area, located to the west of the Da River.

Thanh Thuy Hot Spring Resort spans an area of 1 km², located to the west of the Da River in Thanh Thuy District, Phu Tho Province, Vietnam. Located just 65 km from Hanoi, it remains a unique and invaluable hot spring destination in northern Vietnam. The spring water is sourced from wells that reach depths of 30 to 60 meters. To make the hot water suitable for swimming pools and sauna baths, cold water is often added, leading locals to claim that the cold water at Thanh Thuy is even more precious than the thermal water itself. Interestingly, the hot spring water is known to assist in the treatment of various ailments, including arthritis and skin conditions.

This remarkable resource, which has an estimated volume of 20 million m³, was discovered approximately 30 years ago. However, its full potential for tourism and wellness has not yet been realized. In recent years, the local government has allocated significant funding to foster tourism development in Thanh Thuy, with plans to enhance facilities and services for visitors.

Research has established that the average temperature of the hot spring water ranges from 37°C to 43°C, with the highest recorded temperature reaching 53°C. The water is rich in essential minerals such as sodium and calcium, and notably contains radon, which is recognized for its therapeutic properties, including potential benefits in cancer treatment. The radon content is believed to promote blood circulation and is particularly beneficial for both cardiac health and skin conditions. For those suffering from joint pain or muscle fatigue, soaking in the hot spring water for around 30 minutes daily, alongside receiving massages, can significantly alleviate discomfort.

After indulging in the soothing hot spring experience, visitors can delight their taste buds with various local specialties from Thanh Thuy, including Stone Mountain Goat, Da River Fish, and Thuong Chicken. Among these, Da River Fish is renowned as the most famous dish, known for its distinct flavor profile that is aromatic, sweet, and not overly oily. Another popular option is Thuong Chicken, which is raised in the highlands of Phu Tho and known for its unique taste and quality.
