The historical significance of this site is undeniable. After 30 years of traveling the world in search of a path to liberation for Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh returned in 1941 and spent seven weeks working undercover in Pac Bo Cave. The cave is discreetly positioned, allowing views from the inside without being easily seen from the outside. Here, Uncle Ho named the surrounding mountain after Karl Marx and the tranquil stream beneath it after Lenin, both of whom greatly influenced his revolutionary ideals. He penned three renowned poems about Pac Bo, capturing the beauty of nature and expressing his passionate communist sentiments along with his simple yet poetic existence. These works resonate with the Vietnamese people, cementing Pac Bo as a cherished site. With the guidance of knowledgeable local tour guides, visitors can acquire profound insights into the early stages of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Movement around 1945.

The complex also draws visitors with its breathtaking natural scenery. Lenin Stream, known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant green hue, stands out in contrast to more commonplace bodies of water. Tourists can relax by the stream, close their eyes to breathe in the refreshing air, and listen to the soothing symphony of nature—mountains and birds intertwining in harmony.
The best time to visit Lenin Stream is between September and October when the weather is pleasant. July and August are generally not recommended due to higher water levels, which can make the stream less clear.
