Can Tho is located to the south of Ho Chi Minh City, alongside the Hau River. Due to its close proximity to Ho Chi Minh City and ongoing foreign investment, Can Tho has continued to experience remarkable growth rates in recent years. As of 2025, Can Tho is administratively divided into 9 districts: Ninh Kieu, Binh Thuy, Cai Rang, O Mon, Thot Not, Phong Dien, Co Do, and Vinh Thanh. Among these, Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang are particularly renowned for their vibrant delta life, showcasing the famous early morning floating markets and bustling quays that attract both locals and tourists alike.
