Where can I find photographic equipment or camera stores in HCMC?
A camera store is easily located in the city center of Ho Chi Minh City. Simply stroll along Le Loi Street, Nguyen Hue Street, or Le Thanh Ton Street to find everything you need to capture the perfect image, including lenses, film, chargers, batteries, and tripods.
For traditional cameras using Fujifilm that require processing, you can find labs at 82 Nguyen Hue Street or 114 bis Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street. Kodak processing labs are also prevalent on these streets. If you are using a digital camera, make sure to have the appropriate adapter or outlet converter for your chargers, which are available on Huynh Thuc Khang Street. Many camera stores also carry these adapters.
During your shopping, don’t hesitate to negotiate prices to avoid being overcharged. Lenses should not cost you significantly more than what you would pay in your home country. Chargers vary in price based on brand and authenticity, but typically do not exceed $15. Adapters or outlet converters can be found for under $5 in several stores. On average, developing a 10cm x 15cm (4in x 6in) image at a lab costs around 20-30 cents as of 2025.
If you venture beyond the city center, you may find limited camera accessories at stores in your travel area. While batteries and film are typically available, lenses may be overpriced at these locations.
