Hạn Khuống Festival
Han Khuong Festival is a cultural and traditional event of Thai ethnic group in Dien Bien.
Han Khuong Festival is typically celebrated in late November, following the conclusion of the harvest season.
The festival takes place in the heart of the village, where young men and women construct a 1.5-meter stage. This stage is enclosed by fences with a single entrance, serving as the venue for spirited pair singing that lasts until midnight. The festivities continue into the following night, filled with singing and conversation.
Beyond the lively performances, the festival holds significant importance for young women as it offers an opportunity to learn more about their future husbands before marriage. Consequently, it truly represents a cherished aspect of youth, creating lasting memories for all participants.Photo: baolangson.vn
