Vietnam Passport Renewal in the UK
From 2006, passport renewal will be replaced by new passport application. Vietnamese citizens residing, working or studying in the UK can apply for a new passport in person or my mail.
As of 2025, Vietnamese citizens residing, working, or studying in the UK will apply for a new passport instead of renewing an existing one. Applications can be submitted in person or by mail.
Required documents:
- Two completed passport application forms
- One biography form
- Four recent passport-sized photographs
- Old passport, which will be cancelled and returned to the applicant
- If applicable, a police report documenting the loss of your old passport
Additional note: Any valid visa pages in the old passport will still be usable and will not be transferred to the new passport.

Processing Time: Generally, applications are processed within 15 working days. Cases of lost passports may take up to 30 working days.
