Visa Exemption
The following countries have concluded agreements on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports with Vietnam for 14 to 30 days.
Visa exemption stamp
A Vietnam visa is required for all nationalities except those eligible for a visa exemption. With the visa exemption program, visitors can enter Vietnam with just their passport and a return ticket. If these visitors wish to stay longer than the allowed period, they can apply for a visa at a local Vietnamese embassy or consulate or apply online for a visa-on-arrival.
As of 2025, nationals of the following visa waiver countries can enter Vietnam without a visa, provided their purpose of visit is tourism or a temporary visit:
