The street originates from Cau Giay Street, runs alongside the To Lich River, and leads to Tran Duy Hung Street, paralleling Lang Street. It was renamed in May 2001 in honor of Nguyen Khang, the chairman of the Hanoi Uprising Committee in 1945.
Walking along Nguyen Khang Street, visitors can discover a variety of restaurants including Thuy Trieu Do, De Nui Co Do Hoa Lu Ninh Binh, Phu De Truong Yen, and Hue Ngu Binh Restaurant. Upon entering, patrons are welcomed by a relaxed ambiance characterized by warm puce tones, unique oil paintings, and soft guitar melodies. Sitting on traditional mat rushes while savoring delightful dishes allows you to experience the rustic charm of Northern Vietnam in this dynamic city. Especially during the cool winter months, indulging in the “Cay To 7 Mon” accompanied by the warm, aromatic notes of wine becomes a comforting treat.
Thien Tan Restaurant is a cherished venue among local artists. As dusk descends, the elegant allure of Thien Tan Restaurant adds to the charm of the street. It is particularly famous for its “9’ fresh chicken” dish, which reflects simple yet rich culinary traditions. Some patrons say that sitting at Thien Tan by the serene To Lich River allows one to truly appreciate the natural beauty of Vietnam. Thien Tan serves as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of modern life, providing an escape from the everyday pressures.
