Ma May street

Mã Mây is located in the Old Quarter and runs between Hàng Bạc and Hàng Buồm streets. Historically, the southern section of the street was known for producing paper-based products for worship, while the northern end focused on hemp-based handicrafts. Today, most of the production has relocated to other areas or the outskirts of Hanoi, leaving Mã Mây filled with a diverse selection of hotels, hostels, travel cafes, and a variety of restaurants to serve the needs of tourists.

One notable landmark is the temple at 64 Mã Mây, which has remained a significant site for hundreds of years. Additionally, the Ma May Old House at number 87 has been preserved and revitalized to protect and showcase the heritage of the Old Quarter.
