Hang Dao Street

Hàng Đào has been a busy trading place for silk products for centuries and much of that vibe can still be felt today. Though silk and embroidery has shifted to its neighbor - Hang Gai Street, Hang Dao still see the come and go of buyers and sellers from all over the country, with textile products of central importance.On Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, the street is reserved only for walking and there is vendors selling all sorts of household and personal goods.

At 51 Hang Dao, there is a painter’ house that pass on the tradition of painting portraits of people. You will be amazed to find out that no photoshop technology can match the manual skills of these painters.
