Getting Around Hoi An

Hoi An is a small, serene town, and you'll be pleased to find that its street names are easy to remember, making navigation simple. The beautiful beach is conveniently located just 6 km from the town center.

The best way to immerse yourself in Hoi An, as many visitors suggest, is by renting a bicycle. This service is widely available through most tour companies and hotels, and it typically costs around 50,000 VND (approximately $2.10) per day.

Motorbikes can be rented for about 150,000 VND (around $6.30) per day. However, remember that motorized vehicles are restricted from entering the Ancient Town during the day, which encourages visitors to explore on foot. Parking is available, allowing for leisurely strolls, shopping, and dining.

Cyclos are not as common as in Hue, but they offer a charming way to explore Hoi An's scenic beauty at a slower pace. A one-hour cyclo ride typically costs around 50,000 VND.

Taxi is an efficient option for quick transport between locations. FAIFOO Taxi is known for its yellow vehicles: 0510-3919191, while Mai Linh Taxi is easily recognizable by its white and green colors: 0510-3914914. Please note that vehicles are prohibited from the Ancient Town area, so you may need to walk a short distance (5-10 minutes) to reach the river after parking.
