Ba Trai Dao Islet
To arrive at Ba Trai Dao Islet, one of the most well-known attractions of Halong Bay, visitors must probably spend from 9 to 10 hours on a cruise.
Location
This complex of three unique mountains is located approximately 22 km south of Bai Chay Tourist Wharf in Halong Bay. From a distance, the three mountains resemble a cluster of giant peaches, which is reflected in the name "Ba Trai Dao," translating to "three peaches" in Vietnamese.

The islet rises to an impressive height of 23 meters, presenting a majestic sight against the backdrop of the bay.
Legends
Upon arrival, you will be intrigued by the myth that gives Ba Trai Dao Islet its unique name. Legend has it that a beautiful fairy once visited Halong Bay and fell deeply in love with a humble fisherman. Driven by her love, she performed an unimaginable act: stealing the immortal peaches from heaven to grant them eternal life together. However, when she awaited her beloved at what is now Ba Trai Dao Islet, the King of Heaven appeared, fully aware of her transgression. In his wrath, he transformed the three peaches into stone islands and forced the young fairy to return to the celestial realm, leaving her devastated and heartbroken.

Today, Ba Trai Dao Islet has become a popular tourist destination, celebrated for its three enchanting beaches, each nestling a small island. The impressive blend of mountains, pristine white sand, and sparkling waters creates a breathtakingly romantic landscape. However, visitors should plan their trip carefully, as the beaches are only accessible for about 2-3 hours each day before being covered by rising tides.
