Guitar and Koto Duo to Cast a Spell on Vietnamese Audiences

Aki & Kuniko, the renowned Japanese guitar and koto duo, will deliver a special performance on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, and on Monday, July 7, and Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Hanoi.

On their first-ever tour in Vietnam, Aki & Kuniko will present standout tracks from their two critically acclaimed albums, HA – AKI & KUNIKO, released in 2003 on Germany's Acoustic Music Records, and Over the Top, released in 2006.

The Ho Chi Minh City concert will take place at the Youth Cultural Palace, located at 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 1. In Hanoi, the performance will be held at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, 77 Hao Nam Street, Dong Da District. Admission to the Ho Chi Minh City concert is free, while tickets for the Hanoi concert can be collected at no cost from the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, located at 27 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District.

Founded in 2002, the dynamic duo has showcased their unique world sound throughout Japan and across the globe, from Europe to the United States, including a featured performance on the main stage of Open Strings, the world’s largest acoustic music festival held in Germany. Their musical partnership is celebrated for its “original, genre-defying work” and the ability to transition seamlessly from powerful to delicate melodies.
