The lowest fare for an adult in Economy class is approximately €230 for a one-way trip and around €360 for a round trip.

Additionally, Lufthansa connects Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh City with one indirect flight available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing at 22:45 (Frankfurt time). The lowest one-way ticket price for this route is about €2,500 and approximately €3,000 for a round trip.

Baggage Allowance

Hand Baggage

In Economy Class on Lufthansa, passengers are permitted to bring one piece of hand baggage, whereas Business and First Class travelers may bring two pieces. The hand baggage should not exceed a total weight of 10kg, with dimensions not surpassing 115cm. If carrying foldable garment bags, the total dimensions should be less than 126cm. Personal items such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, purses, and instant food are allowed in the cabin without any additional fees.

Checked Baggage

Lufthansa's checked baggage policy distinguishes between weight and piece concepts. In Economy Class, passengers can check up to 23kg without incurring extra fees, while Business Class allows for 30kg and First Class for 40kg. For long-haul flights, Economy passengers are limited to one piece of baggage under 23kg, while Business and First Class can check two pieces, with a maximum weight of 32kg each. Families traveling with infants under 2 years of age may bring an extra piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 23kg and one collapsible buggy.

Lufthansa Business Class

Before boarding, Business Class passengers can enjoy access to luxury airport lounges equipped with internet access, gourmet meals, beverages, private workspaces, and shower facilities. Services in the Business cabin are more convenient and qualitatively superior compared to Economy Class. Seats in this class can transform into a 2-meter bed with a massage function, providing a comfortable rest during the flight. Moreover, Business Class meals feature premium dishes from various cuisines worldwide. Passengers can also access a range of in-flight entertainment, including the latest music, movies, radio, games, and language courses. Arriving passengers may use another lounge to relax after their flight.

Inflight Meals

Renowned for its service quality, Lufthansa focuses extensively on its in-flight meals, which vary across all classes from First Class to Economy Class.

The cooking team, known as Star Chefs, consists of world-class culinary talent dedicated to satisfying diverse passenger preferences globally. Lufthansa also distinguishes itself by rotating its chefs bi-monthly to introduce fresh, exclusive menus.

On flights departing from Germany, twin chefs Thomas and Mathias Suhring, renowned for their expertise in both Asian and Western cuisine, oversee meal preparation. Meanwhile, returning flights feature a wider range of choices from Korean, Chinese, German, and American cuisines.

Notable dishes offered by the airline include Wiener Schnitzel, Königsberg meatballs, and salmon fillet with Hollandaise sauce.

Lufthansa's wine selection is impressive, serving around 3 million liters of wine annually. The airline has consistently received accolades, including the "Most Consistent Wine List" award at the Business Travel Wine Awards. This recognition is attributed to meetings held several times a year with a panel of wine experts, led by world champion wine connoisseur Markus Del Monego.

To date, Lufthansa has maintained a strong reputation, receiving predominantly positive feedback from passengers on travel review platforms like TripAdvisor or AirlineQuality.com.

Safety Record

While Lufthansa faced some safety challenges in its early years, the airline has made significant strides in improving safety over the decades. Today, it is recognized as one of the safest airlines in Europe and worldwide. Throughout its operational history, the most severe incident recorded was the crash of Flight 540 on November 20, 1974, shortly after takeoff from Nairobi, claiming the lives of 59 passengers. Another tragic accident occurred on January 28, 1966, when a Convair CV 440 crashed during landing in Bremen, Germany, leading to the deaths of all 46 passengers and crew members.
